    How to activate a Travelcard: At every U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram or bus you will find a yellow or red ticket machine in which you must stamp your card to validate it for that journey. The first time you do this will be the activation date and time of your travelcard. From then, the travelcard will be valid for the duration of your ticket. Failure to stamp and validate a journey can result in a fine.

    Travelcard: No need to carry spare change for daily tickets. You can choose to add Travelcard to this package for unlimited travel around the city by Metro, Buses, Overground Trains and Trams within zones ABC. The metro (U-Bahn) and the overgrounds (S-Bahn) run from around 4am until 1am on the weekdays, but run 24 hours at the weekend.

    Passes cannot be issued without a voucher. The Berlin Info Store is a redemption point only. Any queries regarding your purchase must be referred to the local number on the voucher.

    Once activated, the Berlin Pass will be valid for the duration that you have purchased. It is valid for consecutive days and at the end of the validity period will expire. For example, if you buy a 3-day Pass and start using it on Monday then it will no longer work at the end of Wednesday, regardless of how often you have used it.

    Please note that a "day" is based on calendar days, so if you start using the Berlin Pass at 4:00pm on a Monday then Monday is classed as Day 1 of your Pass usage.

    Make sure you have validated your travelcard before you travel. Children under 5yrs travel for free on the transport network, when accompanied by a Berlin Pass holder with a valid travelcard.
