Cruise effortlessly through the green parks and wide sidewalks of Berlin while you learn about all the most fascinating sites in the city. Tours are limited to a maximum of five guests per guide, ensuring a very personal and private experience. The keys to a fashionable Segway eliminate all the strain of walking.
Climb on board your Segway and glide through the city, stopping every few hundred meters to soak in the sights, hear fascinating anecdotes, take pictures, and discuss Berlin’s rich history. Your guide will blend historical insights with present-day facts about Berlin, giving you a far-reaching understanding of this inimitable city.
Stops on the tour include:
Hitler’s bunker: Where years earlier the Nazis held an infamous book burning. See the Reichstag and grasp how the fateful fire that tore through it in 1933 sparked Hitler’s rise to power.
Prussian Berlin: You’ll ride through the Brandenburg Gate like so many armies before, over the Museum Island, and across the Gendarmenmarkt in an effort to understand how the mighty Prussians moulded Berlin into a European power.
Berlin Wall: See one of the last remaining sections of the wall that once divided the city against itself. Understand why the Berlin Wall was built, what led to its fall and how Berlin is dealing with its past.
Marienkirche: Berlin’s oldest functioning church.
Red Town Hall: The City Hall of a unified Berlin.
Marx & Engels Platz monuments: Communism’s founders still stand tall in the former East.
Palace of the Republic: Sight of the former communist East German parliament, now being dismantled.
Potsdamer Platz: Berlin’s new “downtown”.
Gendarmenmarkt: Berlin’s famously quaint square
Nazi Topography of Terror: Open-air museum in the former HQ of the Nazi Gestapo and SS.
St. Hedwig’s Cathedral: Built in the 18th century by Frederick the Great.
Unter den Linden: Berlin’s most famous boulevard.
Deathstrip: See the fault lines that separated East and West Berlin, passing by the watchtowers where sentinels once kept watch for anyone trying to surmount the tyranny of the Wall.
Checkpoint Charlie: Explore this lone border crossing through the Wall, one of the most enduring Cold War landmarks in the city.
